David S. Barrett, the oldest child, married April 5, 1856, Sarah Mariah Woodworth, seen in the two portraits below [Note 1]. She was born in 1836, the daughter of Norman and Eliza (Dillenbach) Woodworth. Norman Woodworth (also found spelled "Woodsworth") was himself an early Highland settler; with the family being found on the 1850 Census for Highland. Sarah Mariah (Woodworth) Barrett died in 1896, while David S. Barrett died January 2, 1916. The couple had two sons: (i) Fremont J. Barrett, and (ii) Adrian G. Barrett.
Note 1 - Others give the date of marriage as April 1, 1856.
