Melvin C. and Luella (Chase) Heffelbower were the parents of eight
children, one of whom died in infancy. The remaining seven were: (i) Clara Genevieve
Heffelbower; (ii) Audrey Jean Heffelbower; (iii) Melvin Cleo Heffelbower, Jr.; (iv)
William Wesley Heffelbower; (v) Henry Hoover Heffelbower; (vi) Donald Glen Heffelbower;
and (vii) Robert Lee Heffelbower. This photo shows four of the Heffelbower children
in the family's front yard: (from left to right) Donald, Henry, Melvin, Jr., and Audrey.
