Of the five children born to Joseph V. Hagadorn's second marriage, only one - Charles H. Hagadorn - survived childhood [Note 1].   He reportedly moved to Cleveland, Ohio, and does not figure further in this account.  The five daughters of Joseph V. Hagadorn by his third and fourth marriages all married into prominent and prosperous Highland Township families.  The eldest, Cora Belle Hagadorn, married Charles Lewis Treat.  The second daughter, Emma Hagadorn, married I. Roy Waterbury.  The middle daughter, Mary Edith Hagadorn, married Harry Ruggles.   The fourth daughter, Maud M. Hagadorn, married Bert Wardlow (See the WARDLOW family album).  The fifth and youngest daughter, Elsie M. Hagadorn, married Sheldon Thornton.  The photo below was taken in 1926 during a reunion of the five sisters and their families.

[1] - It is not clear that this son ever came to Highland Township with his father.  Born circa 1854, Charles H. Hagadorn appears on the 1870 Census for Green Oak Township, Livingston County, Michigan, living with the family of Henry Smith, who had purchased Joseph V. Hagadorn's Green Oak farm when the latter moved to Highland.   There is likewise no son Charles H. in the Hagadorn family on the 1880 Census for Highland.
