Taking over the farm after his parents moved to Highland Station, Harry O. Ruggles added to his holdings in both Highland and across Rowe Road in Milford Township; eventually owning over 300 acres. His farm included 30 acres of orchard, a "muck garden" near Indian Lake, a "sand garden" with overhead irrigation and a herd of registered Hereford cattle. Agriculture classes from Milford High School would take field trips to the Ruggles farm to study and observe its varied operations. Harry O.
