Personal Narratives, Reminiscences And
Similar Accounts Of Highland Township

This page is devoted to accounts of Highland people, places and events found in personal narratives, reminiscences, presentations, interviews, letters, diaries and newspaper items.  Some focus on a single person or family while others take a broader view.   In almost every instance, however, they provide a more intimate look at Highland than what is found in more formal, published histories.  The links below are arranged alphabetically by author/source, with a brief description of the subject or content presented.   In many cases these items are supplemented with notes and/or links to related pages on this site.  This is an ongoing project and more items will be added as they become available.  Should anyone have access to similar accounts we would invite their submission.

Baker, Wilson W.  - History of Clyde
Written circa 1923-24, this account gives a brief history of the community, its early residents, stores and businesses
