This photo shows John and Nancy Atley standing on the front porch of the Highland House hotel. The couple successfully ran the business for almost twenty years until John Atley's death on January 15, 1934. Four months later, on May 4, 1934, it was sold to a Mr. _____ Waring and converted into a road house and dance hall.
