This is the same 1948 aerial photo, but with significant sites identified by number as follows: (1) Gee's store; (2) Highland Lanes Bowling Alley; (3) Schermer's Hi-Speed service station; (4) Schermer's Grocery; (5) The Weal Bar; (6) Hetrick's Welding Shop; (7) Jim Cook's Shell service station; (8) Browning's clothing store; (9) White Lake Hardware; and (10) Hubbell's Island. The roads within LaSalle Gardens subdivision have been laid out, although few if any homes have yet been built.
