Harry O. Ruggles married Mary Edith Hagadorn, born August 18, 1873, the daughter of Joseph V. Hagadorn by his third wife, Sarah H. Reed (See the Hagadorn family album). Their four children were: (i) Thurman Ruggles, born June 19, 1895; (ii) Sara L. Ruggles, born April 25, 1898; (iii) Evelyn Ruggles, born January 2, 1908; and (iv) Joseph Maurice Ruggles, born 1904. Son Thurman is seen below, sitting on a cultivator. He served as a trustee of Highland township for a number of years, as well as President of the Michigan Hereford Association.
